Tuna sandwich most usually consists of two slices of bread with a combination of canned tuna and mayonnaise in between. The sandwich may be enriched by the addition of ingredients such as chopped celery, black olives, cucumbers, pickles, onions, or hard-boiled eggs. In the United States of America, it is especially beloved by children of all ages. Tuna sandwich has two basic variations: one is served on toasted bread with tomato slices and melted cheese, when it's called tuna melt , and the other one is called tuna boat , when tuna sandwich is served in a bread roll or a hot dog bun.
