ABOUT THE DISH
A specialty of the Cuban city of Baracoa, cucurucho is a sweet treat consisting of coconut flakes, coconut water, honey or sugar, and fruits or nuts wrapped in a palm leaf that is shaped into a cone. The name of the dish means cone or cornet , referring to the palm leaf. This sweet can be found throughout Baracoa, especially on beaches that are full of coconut palms, producing meaty and juicy coconut meat.
